Straightening teeth without brackets and wires

Many of our patients whose teeth – as well as their overall oral and general health – would benefit from straightening are still reluctant to undergo orthodontic treatment. For some people the thought of having to wear fixed metal braces is just too much. Metal mouth? No way!

We now also offer a completely different, removable system: SureSmile®. It will appeal to those patients whose main concern was the look and feel of braces. Others may have been reluctant because of the more demanding tooth cleaning routine required while wearing braces.

Invisible, comfortable, removable

SureSmile® straightens teeth using a series of custom-made trays, so-called aligners that are similar to mouth guards. These aligner trays are made of flexible, comfortable and almost invisible plastic. They are worn over the teeth and only removed for eating and cleaning. Approximately every two weeks a new, slightly differently moulded aligner is used. With every tray teeth are gradually and gently shifted into place.

We hope that this alternative convinces those patients who are still sitting on the fence.
